Kota Doria fabric is a combination of cotton and silk woven in a square check pattern. The silk in it gives shine to the fabric whereas cotton gives strength.
The name Kota Doria is taken from it place of origin, Kota in Rajasthan, India. The checked pattern is termed as 'khat', and is one of the distinguishing feature of the Kota Doria fabric. Kota Doria is a very fine weave and weigh very less.
The saree is soft, light weight and has a nice subtle shine which adds to its Classic look.

These sarees are purely handmade with hand block print techniques using vegetable dye, not using any harsh chemicals or acids. Minor inconsistency in print, lightness or darkness of print in some areas are natural in hand block print. These are not defect, but adds to individuality and uniqueness to the item.
